Pretty ruddy chilly here this morning.decking covered in frost...only doing eves and odd mornings now the other girls on site..so havnt had the chance to try out the new coat the boss bought me...not quite a dry robe wa***r.an aquarobe, cheaper brand, but so warm, right down to my wellies,so no more wet knees in the rain๐doubt I'll wear it out and about, but you never know if it's cold enough

Not the cursed dryrobe ๐ฑ There was a woman doing shopping in Tesco thre weeks ago in the heavy rain in one, a camo look one,WTF. She would have looked better if she had worn a duvet.Apparently. theyre popular... what for i dont know... i was blissfully unaware of their existence until a few montbs ago.
0.5C this morning and very heavy frost. Been a long while since had one this early here. More winterising to be done over next few days.

It's surfing outdoor type wear, and as usual they have a following.Mr boss bought the artists proper dry robes last year for waiting backstage.I presume it can get chilly waiting about with not much on๐

I never had one of those when i went surfing nor rowing and cant remember ever seeing one.. people used beach towels and gym wear... They look like wearable tents. They seem to annoy a lot of people theres as much irrational hate directed at dryrobes and at their wearers as there is to cyclists ๐ค
Each to their own, I can understand folks wearing them beachside or close by but its bizarre seeing someone getting out of a brand new Range Rover with her kids at Tesco wearing one. Is this the new fashion trend? Its a fail if it is.

My son bought me a oodie last Christmas, which I had never seen/heard of, but fell in love with immediately. I wore it everywhere, it being the most comfortable item of clothing I own.
Apparantly I'm not supposed to wear it outside the home and especially not shopping. Why not? Because other people think it is not appropriate.
Stuff that, people can wear what they want, when they want, and if other people don't like how they look then they should look elsewhere.

Im not particularly bothered what people wear id rather they wear dryrobes than see acres of bare stodge hanging out of overtight leggings front and rear or the young men who seem to want to wear their trousers half way down their legs like theyre 5 and havent learned how waist buttons work. Its preferable not to see anyone at all as far as im concerned.

I hate fashion with a passion.rarely find anything new, that I like.everything I own except underwater is charity shop, boot sale of stuff passed on from the circus lot.the aqua robe thing will be for extreme weather goat feeding, and dog walks.๐

I tend to wear Islamic Indian clothing in summer its cooler lighter and that dont stick to you. In the winter its back to ex mil stuff bc no point wearing anything thats going to show mud like a dog shit on a table cloth.

Well Storm Ashley hasn't really come to much here but Ireland appears to have been badly affected. Thousands without power.

We had weather warnings of more than 95% heavy rain here from about 11am to 2pm today ; all we got is a drizzly morning and one short heavy shower at 2pm. The wind was forecast to be around 40+, but I doubt it reached 30mph. Probably just the Met office covering their collective backside again...

We've had a lot of wind and rain but it's not too bad (yet!), I think the Highlands and Islands are getting the worst of it. Next door's trampoline is in our garden now and I've seen recycling bins wandering about but we're quite sheltered in our little bit so hopefully nothing to worry about here.
