The hoards get everywhere dont they 😁 I know it was usually the end of September b4 you could truly say theyd all gone but then thered be a few return in half term. Disturbing ...but after that theyd be gone till the next year and you could get out the silver again.
I know we all want to get away from slavery and go on holiday away from busy cities but then why always the same place at the same time...Shoo.
Well its 19.7C here and occasional big rain drops. I cant remember it being this warm an evening in September. Its perfect for a thunderstorm in the night. 😎
It would be nice if it was this warm in December and no need for heating.

The drive down today was slow, traffic was heavy but I'm just getting impatient and grumpy in my old age. Had some rain and when it wasn't raining it still looked like it might. Stopped at the new co-op at Bugle to buy essentials (no not booze) and my knees had just seized up solid after 5 hours on the road

Weve been pretty lucky, the jetstream kept heat zones away, most everywhere at our latitude or below else has cooked in 40c 50c In Iran recently it was over 60C and the gulf water temperature was over 30c.The arctic has been in the 20sC In Australia its winter and already 40C in places.
So yeah i think we did well to get a cold wet summer.

All the weather, all the time, I have given up trying to figure out what to do or wear and am just embracing being either hot, cold, wet, windswept or eaten by midges Often all of those things within minutes of each other. The lady next door is a weather shepherd; I just put my washing out when she does. Currently 10 degrees and sunny; was torrential rain when I woke up this morning and as I type it's clouding over again lol

Lovely blue skies here, but chilly and very, very windy. When I took the mutt out earlier I was fighting to not be blown away, and while he is more stable having 4 feet to balance on, he was keen enough to go home once he had done his business.
In spite of this, I watched two speckled wood butterflies dancing in the air, managing to stay in their own territory with seemingly no difficulty; they are no more than gossamer dancing on the breeze, how do they do it?
