Today I learned that splicing an eye in blue polyrope is not as easy as I thought it would be. Now I have a pile of useless offcuts, and ended up just tying a bowline in the end instead. I don't deserve the name "Boaty" based on todays efforts.

burns ok now just a few white blotches now but what with the tatts old scars they not noticeable. but did have a really good weekend at the horsedrawn festi, next one is down your way at pewsey

     I've learned that my house is now uninhabitable, seriously. The insulation guys have trashed it comprehensively, throwing stuff out of my boarded out attic into my bedroom, disconnecting all my kitchen appliances and removing electrical sockets. My kitchen floor is swimming in water. Tomorrow they will be told to fuck off. Seriously, I cannot enter any one room in the house safely and just keep crying if I just open the front door. I know that there are all kind of legal recourses, I also know that I am unable emotionally to go down those routes, so however we'll meaning please don't suggest various solicitors /local news/mp whatever, I know what I should do but am unable mentally to do it. I'm only posting here to let out some sorrow. |

So sorry to read this Maggie but have you paid them any money? I know that there are times that builders turn places into bombsites on big jobs but from you've said on this there's a serious WTF factor.

No I haven't paid them Wulfie, it's one of those schemes paid for by the government for people who have little income. This means they'll get paid anyway.
The second pic down is my bedroom, there is a bed underneath all that. 😢

You need to dig out the paperwork for the company who is sorting this and I'd be tempted to get onto the local council and try and get their help. Basically you've been made homeless unless you agreed to live in Iris whilst the work was done but what they've done to your home is just pure disrespectful. Don't tell them to fuck off until you've got hold of who is in charge and got them to see what is happening. Take loads of photos just in case you need to evidence what is happening. They should have used dustsheets ect to protect your belongings. That is just dire, tossers.
One thing to consider for when this is all sorted is get a skip and toss what you'll never use, be ruthless for the new page in your lifebook.
