All taxation is a government racket( regardless of party)- robbery enacted in law to give legitimacy to their demands.Non of it is voluntary or for communal benefit,they rob us and decide what they want to spend money on,we have no say nor consulted.
Road pricing is yet another government sponsored racket.

All correct milliemercedes. The only problem with high fuel duty is that in the UK we rely on road transport, and any increase in fuel is inevitably passed on to the product transported. If you got it, a truck brought it.

Its still a miniscule amount on your goods compared to that on personal vehicle use and VAT. Its still the fairest way to ensure everyone pays and with minimal administration cost or hassle.

if road pricing comes in they will not drop road tax they will just bring it in as an extra tax
