Watching some blokes from the yard trying to tarp cover a massive pile of grey powdery stuff that was delivered earlier..i presume its not ment to get wet..its peeing down and blowing a gale..i dont rate its chances of not being uncovered and wet by morning..it looks like cement? Sounds like ag lime. I had a job spreading it after the harvest back in '88. They tip it in the field then co tractors come & spread it usually on the stubble after the crop is cut. Its a bastard if it gets wet, goes like concrete & you can't get it to flow through the spreader. |

They ve had another pile this morn,not sure what it is,never seen it before at either of the farm sites.they ve got empty barns!the tarp was more or less in place,but the front 5ft is wet!

Got a fire going, hot water for a bath later, and I have a half bottle of Cava in the fridge to drink while I'm lying around boiling myself. Life is good. 🛀🥰

You think id be still sitting here if it was?id be doing the rounds in the dodgier parts of my nearest large towns getting rid😂apparently its very expensive volcanic rock dust from Scotland to help activate the massive compost heap they have up the top field..which is pig shit,wood chip leaves and a lot of farmery magic.our farmer wont get organic status due to surrounding farms using chemicals.and the hoops to go thro,but hes as close as he can get |

Well it caused a tentative smile..after 5yrs of no contact,and the daughter in law growling at me in the park only this summer..said daughter in law contacted me today.would i like to see the g.kids? Woah!even uj was shocked and bought me a sloe gin over,lol,but we ve been messaging and arrangements being made for a visit over the hols😊

It is,but not getting too excited,i know this woman well.so im taking it slow,and leaving no gaps for her to worm a story out of nothing,which is partially the cause for the 5yr absence..really hope this happens tho,il be meeting a 9mnth old grandson iv never met.its going to be emotional,my eldest daughter has said she ll be on standby,bless her,shes a mum to me lol x

The fact my eldest daughter has had 3 Christmas trees up so far this year.her 2yr old keeps dismantling them..the latest,a slimline one she got for £4.50 late yesterday,already bare except the top foot or so....my suggestion,tie the little minx to the top..but shes no angel😂..bless her,shes a challenge,but wouldnt change her x

Her mum sent me a pic the other day,the 2yr old with a black eye..when asked her how? She d been climbing onto her toy barbecue to reach something..i don't think it helped when i said id take her a climbing harness down!shes a little live wire
