Had a big smile on my face this morning when listening to the young lad from peckham (nelson mandela house maybe !) who had won the silver medal in the tokyo olymics. He was completely wowed out that he is actually an olympic medalist. The following interview with his father and brother was quite touching too whne his dad said that he never doubted him and believed in him all the way and also said that the entire family cried because of their joy and pride in him.
He will no doubt be a huge inspiration to many inner city kids who see that there are talents from the streets that they can work on and become someone of significance.
I love a good success story :-)

Only just seen this post. Been an almost daily event for me for decades and that buzz never goes away. It is the buzz of freedom and contentment :-)

Sitting on the bus coming back from dropping the hire car back.there was an older couple opposite me.the man was reading his Sun newspaper, his hands shaking, dropping pages.he finished, folded it and sat forward with his head resting on the seat back of the chair in front.looks like he didn't travel well,as i stood to get off,his shopping trolly fell forward,as i bent down to pick it up for him..i heard him mutter "oh bollocks" he looked up and we grinned at each other..it was so funny hearing it coming from him.his companion said thanks with an embarrassed smile x

This memory cane up on FB just now! I loved this bog , 15 years happy service . Never blew over when other peoples trailers did! Became known as 'Toilet of the Stars' because on a clear night if you looked up thats what you saw. It was way ahead of time as self cleaning . Shame it was not self emptying , and a 25 ltr fermentation bin full up can take some lifting , but a full bucket makes a stable bog in a breeze . It was very personal too ,only me and my children . No one ever asked to use it when visiting except once when I had a lady that I could not seem to get into there head I was not interested in any form of relation ship (not one arm mother , this one was way worse!), and i said there was no bog paper and luckily that shifted her. The paint was cracked inside . the seat was usually wet. Flies and smell in summer ? Oh yes! But it gave that extra bit of luxury of being able to poo on my own terms in a civilised and dignifyed way , rather than crouching in a hedge with a spade and risking the wrath/cat calling etc mid plop of who ever walk past .

It could be tricky if I had moved it and it was dark and I was in a hurry . The toilet got air rifle pellets in it when it was positioned here . They were strays from night time activites of the neighbours I had either side who were at war . It was happyier bog here , unpainted , but happy . There were issues after emptying it though from the farmer, but he was not as cross as the day one of his sheep dogs rolled in shit and he came round shouting whos been eating sweercorn .

Bryony on Greaneteen winning the Tinglecreek at Sandown. Bryony up in court over allegations she's been threatened and bullied by a misogynistic bullying pig .Jockey's all closed ranks and no one backed her up. Their attitude is she should put up with it . Good on you Bryony, cracking ride, beautiful horse !.

Watching some blokes from the yard trying to tarp cover a massive pile of grey powdery stuff that was delivered earlier..i presume its not ment to get wet..its peeing down and blowing a gale..i dont rate its chances of not being uncovered and wet by morning..it looks like cement?
