I had a drive up the coast for an hour in the car. No dogs, as Bruno won't go in a car - it's a bespoke bus or nothing for him.

Simple pleasure of yesterday - sitting in our little DIY orchard in the sunshine, watching bumble bees visit the cherry blossom and honey bees squeezing inside the flowers on a gorse bush. Birds singing, but other than that complete peace. A million miles away from news of war and lousy politicians, I imagined myself as a stoneage man welcoming spring.

Swallows here too, about a week ago, and nature has organised a huge insect hatch for them.
