There is an article in the Telegraph this morning saying how regular UK orders for PPE from their suppliers in Egypt, India and China have been blocked by the governments of those countries. French customs have held back orders too. This highlights the core of the problem with PPE, if it was produced at home by UK companies none of this would happen. Britain is having to play a form of "Whac-a-Mole" as the Government attempts to overturn export bans and requisitioning by countries attempting to stop medication and protective equipment being sent abroad, a senior minister has said.
Countries such as Egypt, India, Taiwan and Turkey, have banned the export of specific medical supplies in recent weeks as they attempt to shore up their own response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
As stocks of products such as medical gowns run low in the UK, ministers have been pleading with counterparts abroad to allow items, many of them part of pre-existing orders, to be flown here to supply the NHS. "That's where a lot of our work is", said one senior minister.Times like this you really start to see the problem with this fucking govt,& all the rest too selling everything we own abroad! Now we're in a SHTF situation, were dead in the fucking water at the mercy of all these bloody countries that have got rich off our backs by buying our industries out. Shame on the shower of shit that call themselves our leaders. Any authority on vaccines knows its many months away for an effective vaccine and to do that they need to know exactly how it works. Theyre still learning about it.
Its just getting a bit farcical at the moment like chucking us a bone to keep us all quiet.

No matter at present the blame, its here now,the nightmare is out there for real .We all just need to be very careful and try to avoid getting it as long as we can.Wash everything that others may have touched,trust no one with your health except the medics.I dont watch the tv for days.Constant covid doing my head in.I am fully aware of the danger and reality but I need to sit under a tree and watch the birds.It is bliss no ramblers,cars or planes though.

also an old mate has been wittering on about the EU asking the UK to assist in some sort of handout over this crisis whatever that means, more shite in the pipeline unless he's got something wrong???

Apparently the EU are asking us to hold off on "pulling out" till this virus thing is sorted. This would mean that When (not if) the Eu goes bust, they can then ask us for up to 30bn to shore up their collapsed economy....
So it would appear that we aren't really done with them yet after all....

Pre-virus I'd have said for them to shove it as the decision was made to leave and we had the chance of new deals and a better outlook as the EU will collapse from bad management and corruption at some point but now...........
Our world will never be quite the same again thanks to a few Chinese bstards and there's a need for countries to be more united in all aspects when it comes to working together for making the planet a better place BUT that does not include throwing hard earned brass down the pan.
We all need to start making our own stuff again along with the rest of the EU and stick two fingers up to China. Becoming self-sufficient would be a fabulous start if small cottage industries could take off again but I digress.

The "jackboots are on"??Merkel is a brilliant leader she is very focused on performing her job for her country to the best of her ability as ever.I would feel far better if she was our PM.Whilst your opinion is irrelevant, as are all our opinions as a small forum of people on the edge of society in the UK,why insinuate that Merkel is a nazi when all she is doing is stating the obvious?The global community should quite rightly demand compensation from China.China allowed, after several very serious warnings with SARS,MERS ,a virus to become a globally released mass killer because they failed to inform or contain it at the start.The initial problem was China.Footage getting out now shows hellish situations there that are totally contrary to the" media coverage of controlled decline of the virus" there now.What is really happening in China? |
