Can I ask another question? Did they definitely confirm that this came from bats and was passed across by someone eating one? And if that's the case and they found six new strains in bats now is the sensible thing to not eat bats? Or is it more complicated than that? It is not from bats.Pangolin are highly protected.Scientists have traced it back to Pangolin from a rehabilitation center.This is entirely feasible as they take extensive date from them including tissue and blood in order to help treat and maintain their health.There is a big illegal trade in Pangolin body parts for chineses medicine.Also probably eaten.With the Wuhan spotlight switched on by a global audience ,to divert from illegal trade in a protective species is in the interests of China. Ok, this is a strange question, and I know Iām a bit thick, but, I was watching an advert for mouthwash on the tv, and it kills 99% of germs etc etc, so could we/us spray that on the outside of face mask or bandana, hands, face etc. Is it safe to breathe in ? I mean if it goes in your mouth, itās safe, right? Would it act as another type of barrier for protection? It would be easy to put in a spray mist bottle and coat ourself or equipment with?..

Talked to my brother in law last night, and although he should be retired ( and canāt afford to do so ) heās still working as a dustman, he said that they are also at the front, handling waste, unable to keep the 2 meter rule, and no face masks provided

Offspring have been run through what everyone wants,all the financial and death affairs,passwords,household accounts,keys,transport etc etc.Had to state this is not a time for tears but getting sorted in case.All hospital things discussed and words need to be told are done so.This is a real close death situation.Have to separate grief from coping strategy for now.If we all make it will have to change passwords.  |

In the early days of this pandemic people were rushing to buy anything with the word antibacterial on it. Then the experts started saying antbacterials won't kill viruses because they are poisons and viruses can't be poisoned. The only way to destroy a virus is to dissolve the protective film of fat on its outside which is how soaps and alcohol work against the virus |

Anti bacterials dont work against viruses because bacteria are living creatures and viruses are not, they are RNA proteins that replicate by invading body cells and using the material in cells to make copies of the virus protein.
Anti virals and vaccines work by stopping the virus ability to attach to living cells and invade them.
Without a vaccine or effective anti-viral for this specific virus all remedies are complete hogwash.
If any of these anecdotal remedies doing the rounds on the internet worked,do you think there would still be thousands of people in ICU or thousands dead?
Once its in your body there is currently absolutely fuck all you can do about it doing its worst.If you end up in ICU its pot luck if you survive with the range of therapies they have to fight it.
The ONLY prevention is killing the virus BEFORE it gets to you, by killing it on your hands or surfaces you might touch by using disinfectants bleach or antimicrobial soaps or sprays, laundering stuff at 60C steam cleaning and above all avoiding people.
Mouthwash has alcohol/ ethanol it it which kills bacteria,its not effective against herpes cold sores or HIV which are also viruses so very unlikely it will do diddly squat to covid19.
Bleach,disinfectants or strong medicated soap or detergent is still the best way of keeping it away from you as well as keeping away from other people.
