Its the celeb culture, theyre nacissists they cant bear not being centre of attention...look at me, look what im doing.. People will remember the doctors nurses paramedics army etc etc not the self obsessed celebs though.
I cant stick the twat anyway but ive have slightly more time for him if he was harassing ministers for the PPE that medical and nursing home staff desperately need or even transportimg it themselves.

Can you imagine the conversation with production though? Who brought up the idea? Why would you even consider it? Not even Johnson had a crew in ICU?

I disagree bernie , most of the wildlife is thought of as a delicacy, not essential. Even dogs are farmed for food, they don't jump on them on the street. The Chinese word for dog and food is the same, its chow

Exactly. The wet markets are selling all sorts of rare animals. They aren't being sold out of desperation. Eating rats and stray cats is desperate, pangolines and bats are rare delicacies. Closing the wet markets would not cause anybody to starve.

NFU are saying that they need 70,000 pickers or crops will rot in the fields and that we'll have shortages later on. On a different note, the tossers are out in force in their cars as the traffic noise is almost the same as a usual BH weekend whereas yesterday it was really quiet apart from workers hours. Yes but where do you go to find this work? I know somebody in Cornwall who has been laid off (by the NHS, can you believe that?) he's young fit and healthy and desperate for work, he can travel etc but can't find any of this crop picking that everyone keeps saying is so desperately needed any links would be gratefully received

bernie maybe fenrisulfr meant in the months to come. Is there anything to be picked at this time of year? no but there is planting and pruning, thinning out etc The big one near where my person lives is a strawberry farm in Mevagissy which he could walk to but they just said leave your name and we will be in touch if we need you. Many of the places on the internet want a big fee to register and we all know that's dodgy from past history

Same old story Bernie, someone trying to get rich without doing a great deal😞 Sounds daft, your person getting laid off by NHS, someone dropped the ball somewhere!, hope he manages to secure something to keep him afloat...

No he's a contract worker for the NHS at Royal Cornwall Hospital Truro but he works in quite a vital area providing systems support. As a matter of "policy, nothing personal" all contracts are not being renewed. However all the real systems people where he works are all contract. The ones on the payroll would struggle to know how to switch a lot of the equipment on. So he has gone from working twelve hours a day seven days a week setting up staff so they can work from home to suddenly being out on his ear. This is the reality of the NHS. An office full of highly paid chocolate teapots who don't do a stroke and they go and lay off the ones who do the work

Can I ask another question? Did they definitely confirm that this came from bats and was passed across by someone eating one? And if that's the case and they found six new strains in bats now is the sensible thing to not eat bats? Or is it more complicated than that? It is not from bats.Pangolin are highly protected.Scientists have traced it back to Pangolin from a rehabilitation center. This is entirely feasible as they take extensive date from them including tissue and blood in order to help treat and maintain their health. There is a big illegal trade in Pangolin body parts for chineses medicine. Also probably eaten. With the Wuhan spotlight switched on by a global audience ,to divert from illegal trade in a protective species is in the interests of China.

I read in Chinese press that dogs have been reclassified by Xi Jinping as pets not livestock (probably because he has a pet dog) but I doubt reclassifying them will stop people eating them. Tesco in China sells live food in its stores ...or was up until the pandemic. Most stray dogs in the streets in China are clubbed to death by police or city officials and disposed of.
