The problem with paracetamol is there aren't any in the shops now! I found If you look in the little corner shops instead of chemists and big shops you can Defo get them still hope that might help anybody looking for them x

My oldest surviving mate who had laughed at me when I tried to warn him back in January put a whinging post on Farcebook last night and that he was going to have to eke out his larder as there's nothing on the shelves in the shops.
Thought I'd get him some in as he's not in the best of health (got parkies) and some fresh veg for me from Tesco. Got there 0650 to avoid the crowds only to find a full carpark and a huge queue waiting for the doors to open. I was the only one wearing a respirator and I did notice several old folk cover their faces with scarves after seeing me.
The fn place was virtually empty, few tins, no flour etc, it was bloody scary but I got him some stuff and dumped it on his doorstep. On going out saw two women in facemasks and that was it as far as peeps were looking after themselves. As I left tossers were speeding into the carpark dangerously.

On going out saw two women in facemasks and that was it as far as peeps were looking after themselves. As I left tossers were speeding into the carpark dangerously. I must admit as I don't tend to follow the news when I first heard about it I assumed it was all media hype - but I changed my mind quite quickly when I started reading up on it. The food system's appalling, they should have had a plan in place for this, it seems it was known to be a big risk and easy to spread as the world is such a small place now with people and goods travelling such long distances so routinely. So far we've been lucky - I've got a supermarket, two corner shops and a farm shop all within a ten minute walk so between all of them I've been able to keep us going - plus we're used to low income shopping and eeking things out so we've been okay so far. But I got to the supermarket at ten to six this morning (they open at 6am) and by the time I left at twenty past people were streaming through the door. I got our basics in but there were entire aisles completely empty, and they've been restocking as fast as deliveries come in. What I'm finding really bizarre is that I feel that we're in an advantageous position, whereas normally we're considered disadvantaged. We're on Universal Credit, which at the minute seems to be one of the few guaranteed sources of income. We're used to shopping little and often (and doing without), I had to give up work years ago to look after my son and we're used to being home a lot because of his health problems anyway. We've always got paracetamol in 'just in case' and I've got four loo rolls in the bathroom which I think are worth more than gold right now! So for once we seem to be in the right situation. It's just funny how your own situation is so relative to the situations around you (by the way, I'm not meaning any of that in a gloating way, it's just odd to suddenly feel more secure than most when we usually feel less, if that makes sense).

My biggest concern is that we're not doing enough for our medical staff, emergency services, carers and nursing homes as they are struggling to shop AND WE NEED THEM. They get enough stress from the shit they have to deal with without having to scrabble for leftover crumbs to survive. Some supermarkets are doing a 'special hour' for them and pensioners but it's not enough.
