The Christmas tat is now in the shops. I am stunned at the level of non festive tree decorations, so here's a challenge. I want to find the most hideous un-Christmast tree bauble. I am setting the bar high here.  I just spotted this in Asda. It's a hippo wearing a tutu and a wig. Er wot?? Are they serious?? Over to you, I challenge anybody to find something less representative if Christmas!! |

Sure i saw some over the weekend,but we dont shop often,and our now home town high st is rather posh,but will have a look..wasnt quite sure what yours was vw till i read the description..maybe there was a hippo in the stable with the dunkeys and asssssses xx

That thing is like someone just rammed all the spare bits off toys onto a panto pig with glue.It needs national airing.It is utterly gross.I want one.It could be the"site secret sign"like a mascot.

I know they are £3, most of the hideous stiff was. Other non Christmas baubles were a rainbow, an ice lolly, a microphone and Santa dressed in shorts with a swim ring round his waist.
A 'seasonal' sign dipicted Santa as a mermaid, snorkling.

I wouldn't have known that was a hippo if you hadn't said, Vannie. I like the lights going up - they've started doing the trees in town just now. And one of the shop windows has a beautiful display, really old fashioned with Father Christmas surrounded by swans, beautiful lights, really pretty (it's a posh interior design shop so I guess they know how to do a window ). But the rest of it, bluergh, I keep hissing at it in the supermarket and my son tells me to stop acting like a deranged person Lol xx |
