When i lived in Bloomsbury i used to go find the asian stores out on my days off for all the spices beans pulses lentils etc then off to smithfields for my veg. There was no supermarkets to speak of anyway. Finefare and International (George Masons as was) but i didnt like going in them. I always go hunting for indian shops because you can always get ingredients you cant find easily anywhere else and prices are realistic. Ive bought loads of stainless cookware and materials from them too. Its a bit like time travel how English family owned shops used to be before the scurge of supermarkets forced them out of business. Ive got IBS i dont have problems with those bean soups. Chuck some chicken or bacon ham or both in for some extra flavour ive chucked in chopped up prosciutto and italian sausage. There is a very Italian sausage soup you might like. www.thereciperebel.com/italian-sausage-soup/There is also sausage one i do with white beans spinach and cream but i dont know if you cope with cream. Being of mediterranean heritage i like to add that region spice mixes which arent too harsh on innards but really add flavour. Like Ras el Hanout Za'atar or Sumac theyre mixed herb and spice blends. Aleppo Peper warms it and I found Garam Masssla spice mix also makes bean soup more flavoursome without upset.

I'm still clearing out stuff. I am beginning to see a difference, though anybody normal coming in would probably recoil in horror. 😂

ANYWAY sorry .... nearly set off ranting again, better STFU (shut the f.ck up Jenn sorry hippies. hope you're cooking sommat tasty for tea dude ...

To be honest there aren't many people I offer to help these days as I've had things like this happen so often. I just don't get how letting someone know is so difficult - quick text, thanks but no longer needed. So easy. Daft of them not to appreciate you being there for them Grace. Silly buggers xx
