I realise I live a bit of a sheltered existance , but I was looking on an other forum and there was discussion on the magazines you get in dentists , which went off topic and mentioned men wearing foundation and 'guy liner' as been a bit of a thing these days. I was sceptical and googled it , and guy liner is a real product .FFS , should we not be living in an age where ladies should not be encouraged to unnecessarily wear make up , let alone men jumping on the band wagon? I cannot abide make up . I think if you want to paint your face , become a clown and join a circus ! WTF is going on with the world ! Am I being harsh ? Its a free world , but surley this is a step in the wrong direction, devised by make up companies , same as card companies generate card buying events ?

Drove past a nail boutique this morning & it hit me just how different men & women are. Place was full of girlies lining up to pay 30quid to have their fuckin fingernails painted! What fuckin bloke would spend that kind of money on his looks? Fuckin sure I wouldn't.... Completely different species if you ask me.

The whole nail extension thing bemuses me . In South Africa ,some people leave their little finger nail long as a sign of 'I don't do manual work'. Having artificially extended nails you paid for says to me 'I don't do any fucking work .' I don't cut my nails , they get broken off or ground down before the need . I dunno , I would never pay to have my hair cut either though . A fool and their money are easily parted I guess ? I am just a scruffy stingy bastard I suppose . Just seems off the scale crazy make up and all that . Making your self look 'nice' doesnt make you nice . Its the filling thats important , not the wrapper .

I find I dislike the majority of people who care about their appearance, functional/practical is the way.

I dont much care for make-up on women let alone men but its really non of my business if they want to use it and they feel better with it.I cant stand tattoos or piercings either.
Ive met a few guys who obviously had make up on and on some i just felt they looked a bit creepy and artificial like a manikin.
When i lived in London in Bloomsbury early 80's there were usually one or two older actor types who wore it. Almost everyone male on tv or theatre in front of audience or cameras has to wear it just as the women do so i suppose its no great shock its spread to the wider male public just as waxing and body shaving has.
19 yr old James Charles a male makeup expert brought Birmingham to a standstill when he went a few months ago.Its mega business.I think theres a company called MMUK sells it.
Not for ne but i dont give a toss what other men want to do with their body or money.
The only thing i dont really get or find remotely attractive is why men, mostly straight men seem to need to dress up in womens lingerie. Im not meaning drag queens or trans or cross dressers who do the whole switch, Ive always been quite used to them around on the gay scene but this is plain ordinary straight guys. Its not just a few theres loads of guys about of all ages from 18 to 70+ who dress up in womens panties and stockings under their suits or work gear
I just find it absurd.

Blimey ,I find it odd that women want to wear half the stuff they do , let alone men copying them . It certainly seems to have gone beyond dressing to stay warm ? I agree with OGH ,functional/practical is the way forward. Makeup just seems pointless though ,let alone time consuming and expensive , but maybe that is the point ?

The straight men in lingerie thing is often their perception of it being kinky and secret. Whatever turns you on I suppose. The men's makeup baffles me too, but like you said NC, it's their money and body, it's not hurting anybody else. It does underline the gullibility some have, in relation to the 'celebrity culture' around today.

I get the bit about builders wearing tights under trousers, its actually no different to compression clothing for sports keeps you warm and helps prevent muscle strains.
But it certainly seems the cosmetics and fashion industry has broken the taboo about men wearing makeup and its becoming a major thing.
Its not all downhill, beards and body hair are becoming fashionable again.
Not that i care, the hobo tramp look suits me fine.

I think the guys at work wouldn’t be very understanding if I turned up wearing make up, ( not that I do on any occasion) but it would be tempting to do it just to see the look on my bosses face. Not that he could do anything about it as the girls in the office wear make up, if he said anything it would be discrimination 🤡

I like a man with a bit of eyeliner on A bit of fun is fine, but if they're being caught up by the notion of not being attractive enough without it...well that's sad indeed.
