I have just been putting up a couple of posts on a rugby forum and sort of tripped over my words when it came down to trying to write a certain word.
I was talking about "defence",which is the english way to spell the word and not "defense" as they would use in the USA. The problem that came of this is when I wanted to write "defencive" it did not feel right so I ended up in the same post using both " defence " and then " defensive " as the later word just felt more corract using the letter s in it.
What do you think is the correct way to say it ?
Would using the word " defencive " be correct ?
Just did not feel right to me at all, so I ask your help in guiding me in the right direction !!

I know licence changes to licensing, so the C changes to S there. Maybe its the same with defence ?

It doesnt matter with which way you use some words like defence or defense or license or licence theyre both valid and correct...but the correct ive version for defence is defensive.

Defence is noun; defense is verb.
