you gotta be careful about that because (maybe this should be the subject of another thread) being "in charge" of a vehicle when over the limit doesn't mean driving it and even on private property like a pub car park doesn't give exemption because the law doesn't say it has to be on the public road. Say I'm three sheets to the wind in my van on a private camp site? is that still illegal? I think technically it is. Interesting subject? Pub carpark, if you have permission to stay the night or on a campsite they have no power. Still a difficult subject for me when I park up on the run then have a couple of beers somewhere to pass the time. I am aware of the story (which has been totally authenticated) of a lad who attracted the attention of police for excessive noise fitting speakers to his car on the drive of his parents house one Sunday afternoon. He had been to the pub earlier in the day. he was breathalysed and charged, despite being off the road the case was found guilty. An appeal was lodged and the appeal failed because the law said drunk in charge is absolute with no condition about location being public or private. It is a worry for me because a couple of beers is my nightcap of choice when on the road

Maybe if the lad hadn't been playing boom boom music at a million decibels it would have been a different outcome. Worrying thing tho, as you say we all like a beer or two of an evening when parked up. I try to keep a low profile & not give people any need to get pissed at me.

Couple of morning ago I picked up my can of de icer from the boot and sprayed my windscreen and side windows it didn't work very well. Never buy penetrating oil nearly identical in colour to your de icer. DOH!
