when you realise that full power vmax is just a bit too much Haha ! And you start thinking about something slower, so you can still wring its neck but just not end up at warp speed ! My "reality" moment came when I whacked the throttle of my Aprilia open at 90mph and the front wheel lifted, when I felt it hit the ground I was doing 135.

when you realise that full power vmax is just a bit too much The vmax is quite mild mannered if you don't crank it up, its classed as a tourer, at least that was what I told my son. it was when I was negotiating to buy one a few years back that my oldest son made me make a promise to him that I would not buy any more bikes Looking back, he was right, I didn't like it but he was right. Its that getting older moment when you realise that your son has become "the parent"

i tinkered with the last max i had, would out accelerate a busa up to about 140 Doesn't surprise me at all - those vmax are F'ing quick off the line - low centre of gravity and shed loads of power - where a conventional sports bike is struggling to keep the front wheel down. I quite fancy one. You can keep the trike though, unless it's like this:

You know you’re getting old when your birthday cards turn up with “ you are 60 “ on the front

You're getting old when....
0-60 makes you think of your life, not your car ;-)

When both your grandfathers had died before they got to the age you are now. And in your mind you remember them both as really old men
