If you could only have three albums on your desert island (or more likely these days on your phone) what would they be?
Its a hard one for me, my tastes blow hot and cold. I could go traditional and say the Woodstock Album, maybe Led Zepp or Deep Purple or I could go more recent and say Adele, Bryan Adams and Gary Moore.

I don't really do albums. I grew up without a record player, and came to music with the mix tape. Mix tape, does that count ?

I prefer mix thingies but if I was to take albums they would be
Chakra Journey , by Return to the Source. ..........double bubble as it is double album , one trance and the other ambient , so one for energy and one for chill.
Future Games , by Spirit ............................Never get bored with it and there is a bit of everything on there.
Original Rockers, by Augustus Pablo ...............Bit melencholic with the old melodica but I love it .

It all depends what mood I was in at the time of choosing. At the moment I would probably choose :
Santana - Abraxas - Cos it makes everything feel better when you listen to it.
The Who - Live at Leeds - Pure Energy, what more can I say except it needs to be played at volume number 11.
Miles Davis - Miles in the sky - chill out at it's best.

I used to have a girlfriend years ago who could only get it on to Abraxas, she would light lots of candles, drink lots of wine and then put that record on and she was steaming. It didn't take me long to realise that my part in the proceedings was no more than incidental, any Tom **** or Harry would do. It was the record that was her fantasy.

Perhaps not the best three albums of all time, but music I have enjoyed with friends that evokes happy memories.
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust - Bowie Dark Side of the Moon - Floyd Legend - Marley
