She'll probably run over the downing Street cat (Larry) and not have the decency to even mention it.

Everything is going to plan for Truss, wielding the disaster capitalists champion wrecking ball for them.

Conservative party rank and file already turning on Truss and Kwartang after the worst budget in history and she has gone into hiding. Not appeared in public for days. She could be gone very quickly

It's looking like the Tories got the PM they deserved. They chose a Thatcher wannabe over a brown person. So superficial. Now the pound is in the toilet.

She could be gone very quickly Unlike Boris who is still very popular,Truss hasnt a hope in hell of surviving a vote of no confidence if one were called. If she doesnt change course or get rid of Kamikaze Kwarteng theyll all be gone...good riddance. Someone should start a book on how many weeks Truss will be PM.

Didn't occur to me that race might be a factor. I mostly thought that sunak was annoyed, irritated and threatened by his family being exposed so stabbed the slightly Liberal and even less slightly laissez fair bj as hard as he could to shift focus. Devaluing sterling is not all bad and the 8 million mortgages held in the UK are not representative of the evolutionary and socioeconomic interests of the population imo. This is almost toryism at its most useful, honest and back slashingly, EVIL best.... Almost... imo MORTgages represent only a third of recorded households in the UK.

It's been mentioned more than once the Tories weren't ready for an Asian PM.

Same one as Putin - make it up as you go along - they prove themselves unfit for office. Sixth formers have a better understanding of economics.

Having been doing a lot of driving in the past week I spent a lot of time listening to the speeches at the Labour Party conference.
They were all drivel, not an ounce of substance in any of them. Ed Millibands was spectacularly poor. Cliche after cliche. "More integrated policies" "making lives better" "taking things to a new level" with absolutely no mention of how or what they proposed to do.
Starm was the same all nice words but totally vacuous.
I have actually been to the Labour Party conference in the past years ago before I worked out they were all useless. Don't pin your hopes on them

There is nothing original about any of our politician's theyre all about maintaining the status quo and protecting the establishments dominance over the rest of us. Ive no seem no one with policies addressing wealth disparity or improving anything for the struggling 1/2 of our society. But the mess we are in the Tories own and we need a change even if its Labour Tories. LibDems even but no one votes for them in general elections in sufficient numbers.
While we have FPTP voting system and dominance of two parties nothing will change much.
