Today I learnt the wet strength of masking tape is pitiful. It's been on two days, got damp overnight and came off in tiny bits!

Mainland Greece can get cold and snowy especially up north amd mountainous bits,same as Bulgaria.

I have learned that if you pour a glassful of oversweet but strong, blackberry port into a pint glass then top it up with homemade scrumpy, the resultant mix is very pleasant and utterly lethal.
For your own protection, if I ever offer you a glass of blackberry and apple fizz, the correct response is to run away. 😎

That sometimes a bit of persistence pays off, got a £40.00 refund back from BT, for all the trouble we had earlier on LAST year.
Then went to pay my pre payment prescription card thingy, and this year I only got to pay for 3 months, (as someone is going to be 60 this year), that just saved another £75.00 ish.
And when that birthday arrives, I shall be applying for a bus pass, ( if they still do them by then )
If it’s for free, I’m having it

Bugger just read up on bus passes, I got to wait until I’m 66,
but if I move to Scotland or Wales I can get one at 60 🤔

Just over a year till I can get my bus pass , but the bus through our village keeps getting threatend to be stopped  Today I learned mt table saw has a 'cut out'. It stopped working on friday after i managed to jam the blade with a bang and smoke. I checked the fuse , which in my heart I new would be ok , then took the brushes out (I found this not easy) they were a bit pitted, so gave them a spruce up but it still did not work so gave up and started looking at replacement , and there was a nifty old used one on ebay at £24 but it was massive and 3 phase . Then I thought check the switch , and in the process noticed a small black button on the side I thought was a bit of metal with a circlip round it, and it pressed in , and when I plugged the saw in it worked !!! I am getting my eyes tested next saturday . |

I've learnt that selling a collector's item isn't as easy as I thought. My steiff dog brand new is just under £300 and I can't even sell mine for £100.twice now it's not sold
