I think it depends too on your lifestyle and place of habitat Ma Bungo too?In your situation,yes I can see why you'd keep stuff like that.Otoh,my twin's bf lives in the burbs,and has a double garage full to the top with absolute crap including bags upon bags of rubbish!Thats not a healthy state of mind in my opinion.

My Mum was a hoarder. She grew up in the war and was a time of austerity.The only problem was we had no where near enough tools to do anything with such treasure. Her house is so full of books, enough to start a second hand bookshop.

Her house is so full of books, enough to start a second hand bookshop. The problem with books is that unless they're something special not many peeps want them. I took boxes of books, mostly good authors, into my local cancer shop but never saw any on the shelves later on. I came across a lad in a barn near me who is given nearly of all the books from local charity shops. Thousands of them ranging from high end down to paperbacks. He sorts and sells and recycles which makes him a living.
