Been reading a bit about Earthing, and was wondering if anyone here practices it, it does make you wonder though, why we have insulated ourself from Mother Earth, with our fancy footwear and our artificial surfaces such as, tarmac, concrete, Astro turf and god knows what else. Is this why I feel so good when I’m barefoot walking on the grass, scrunching my toes in its lushness, or why I feel at peace when paddling in the shallows of a stream, or the seashore, feeling a connection between Earth and water ? whats everyone’s thoughts on this ?

Likewise, just love the seashore, sand, gravel but not shingle and yes, barefoot on grass. At home I'm more comfortable barefoot than wearing my crocs. Some years ago a mate working on my motors electrics tried his box of tricks on me and found that I was generating 1 volt for some reason so earthing could be beneficial in more ways than one.

Yeah, I practice earthing, but don't dress it up with silly names... barefoot is good, bare everything is so much better...

Everyone has a voltage up to 1 volt it depends on skin humidity. We are afterall driven by chemical reactions and electricity so its no real surprise. The Earths magnetosphere generates electricity in many structures too so static will accumulate.Static isnt always good and make us feel tired or sick. There may be advantages in discharging static from ourselves walking barefoot but you can do the same touching things. I dont think theres anything special about going barefoot or 'Earthing'. The way we live in general surrounded by static and electromagnetic radio waves and chemicals from manmade products is probably pretty unhealthy. Getting out of that environment into nature and opening our senses to things we generally stifle or isolated from day to day makes us more aware of the good sensations from being barefoot or even nude in nature when they happen. No special science per se we just need to get away from man made modern environments more often.

My mate tried himself and registered naught.
Earthed today with several ancient oak and beech trees.
