A British male celebrity whom I will not name has written me emails with x and xx, what the heck does it mean?

If its at the end of the message or letter,its usually a written kiss.not necessarily a romantic or sexual gesture.usually a friendly one unless known or familiar

I can also be pretty sure that it is not a celebrity messaging you, but someone using their photo and pretending to be them.
Be careful Naiwen, it is a common scam; pretty soon if the scammer thinks they have you fooled, they start asking for money.

The scammers are patient, they talk to you for a week or two, even longer; talk of coming to your country and then say they need money for a tax bill/hospital bill, meet and greet, whatever. Sometimes they ask for nude photos from folk who think that they are a girlfriend or boyfriend, and if they get them try and blackmail the victim.
