Following on from what was once a very successful thread that I had running quite a long time back. Please share with us what book you are currently reading or have just finished and let us know your thoughts on it so we know whether to look out for it or avoid it. Happy reading everyone.
I am currently reading ” Behind the Lions” which is a “Polaris” book following the history of the british and irish lions from the 19th century until the 2017 tour. It is a collection of stories from the rugby players themselves with information from the early years mostly gathered from letters home from players that went on these amazing tours that saw them being away from 6 months at a time and then from the players themselves in more recent years (since the 50s). A tour to the southern hemisphere was quite a trip back in the early days and meant months on a boat and was quite an adventure!
It is as good a book as anyone will find on the history of the sport as well as some funny and heart warming stories that have happened on tour over the years as not everything that goes on on tour stays on tour.
It is quite a chunky paperback and am just having time to sneak in the odd chapter at the mo,but will let you know my overall thoughts on it when I am done, but will say that it is looking good so far.

I am looking forward to reading about what you are reading and am sure people will be reading this and be looking forward to reading about what you are reading too :-)
Whether it be a novel,a fantasy book, a craft book, an auto biography, the koran or the thomas the tank engine series or whatever your interest is then please let us know what it is you are enjoying, or not enjoying reading about and through our experiences we can share recommendations and information.
I have purposely put this post up in the general section of the forum instead of the chill out section where I normally would post this as I want any forum guests to get an idea of some of the interests that the forum members share on these pages of the forum where one has to be a member to explore further, which I also recommend joining in with as there are many interesting debates and much great info on many subjects to be explored once you are a member (which is free) :-)
I look forward to getting to know what you are currently reading and hope that you all find some of what some of us are readind of interest too.
Love and light to all
