A thought for solstice day while you're sitting still watching the dawn of the longest day. Bear in mind youre sitting still on a rock rotating in space at approx 1000 mph at the equator...approx 750mph at our latitude. The Earth is travelling approx 67,000 miles an hour around the sun. The sun is travelling 536,000 mph around the galaxy and takes 225 million years to travel one orbit of the galaxy, which itself is travelling through the universe. So,while youre sitting still staring in awe into space youre actually hurtling through space at 1.3 million miles an hour. Thats pretty far out ride huh? Another fun fact, every single one of us is made from elements made in the nuclear reaction in the centre of a long gone star 🌟 we are stardust. Say hi to sister sun today,we are all related.
