Just had a call from mobile number 07568 697800
When I answered it was an automated message saying it was national insurance investigation & my NI number had been compromised. I was told to press 1 before legal action was brought against me for fraudulent use of my number.
Pressed the "fuck off" button instead, but thought it was worth a mention.
(If I suddenly disappear from the forum it may have been genuine, but I won't hold my breath!....)😉🐻👍

Just had another one! 07568697432 Answered it but didn't speak, & it just went dead so probably voice activated automated message again...😠 I’ve had the same, said he was from some crime agency and there was crime accosted with my ni number, I was fed up with all the different scams so I said “ oh no don’t tell me they found out about all the heroine and coke I’ve been smuggling “ they didn’t phone back. |

I don’t pick up numbers I don’t know. Recently I have had a lot from EDF who want me to have a smart meter (not a hope) I check the number online and it goes in the spam/block bin with any others. They are very persistent, have tried with several different numbers and they also send me letters telling me how marvellous it is that they wish to give me a smart meter. I’ll have my electricity disconnected before that happens, I can easily live without it. 😎

Ive had a few of those and im not even a customer of any utilities.
Most persistent knobheads at the moment are the post office delivery text message scammers along the lines of ' we tried to deliver an item but you need to pay an extra ( enter random amount of dosh here) in order for us to complete delivery'.

Bastards is what they are. Bit like the emails from companies telling you how lucky you are as they invite you to apply for a credit card through them. In the words of mrs Brown "Thats nice" !!
