pressing the start button on the motorcycle an fired up straight away been stood for about 3 weeks There's nothing like the first splutter of life in a motorcycle. I've always had that buzz on starting any motor after a rebuild but on bikes, even more so, in the 80s had an MZ250 which was an underrated gem at the time and mine had been left overwinter. Several kicks and up she fired. For such a cheap German machine they were great.

it seemed to me when at bike rallies that such as the MZ owners club were the most committed to their brand of bike

I dont think that this simple pleasure will be today, but sometime over the next few days I am going to treat myself to my first shower in at least 3 years and maybe my second in 5 years :-)
My client keeps insisting that I should use whatever I want in their house and they have got a couple of big showers with multi nozzles for the adventurous washer.
As its a very wet, windy and cold week here I thought that it may be nice to have a shower after going on a nice walk and getting back wet and cold. Bloody luxury :-)
I may even do it at the same time as pre heating the oven and treating myself to one last use of the oven and have another pizza before I leave.
And leave I must do as this is sounding all a bit too domesticated for my liking :-o

Believe me when I say that I am so looking forward to being on the road again, parking in a forest and digging a hole and having a poo that is not in a big white vase half filled with water !!!

Waking up this morning after a little lay in and pulling back the curtains and seeing this as my first sight of the day. I went and stood outside and enjoyed the show for about fifteen minutes. Beautiful start to the day and has set the mood :-)

Waking up in my own pit after finishing successfully a load of night shifts dealing with vermin prevention. Pocket full of dosh but no where to safely spend it so it goes into the boat fund. Nothing like a garlic cheese toastie and some uncle dukes in your favourite clapped out chair courtesy of a happy employer.

Today I is mostly sitting by a crackling fire. I’m looking forward to tomorrow so that I can turn my phone off for a week after speaking to my children.
