Its only pubs and restaurants, off licences and supermarkets will clean up. Very unfair.

Offys and supermarket grog is generally consumed at home (or local resteraunt judging man buying boxs of beer in Lidl) I think people are crackers to even want to go to a pub or restraunt even if there wasnt a pandemic.

Nonsensical and very unfair that pubs and restaurants can offer takeaway food but not alcoholic drinks but supermarkets who dont need any financial support can clean up on everything.Hopefully our leaders will be held to account for wrecking businesses and the economy when Covid is under control, but more importantly for their complete failure to recognise there was a threat and acting on it appropriately in the first place and lead to this mess we are in.

I would generally agree, but I think there may be something in the theory that the powers-that-be are prolonging the pandemic in order to wipe out smaller businesses so their wealthier business cronies can buy them up cheaply. Not the only one noticing this, an old mate of mine, a local market trader, put this sort of view on his blog recently: www.fitzynorthampton.co.uk/blog/entry/the-strong-get-stronger

Not only buy up smaller businesses at dirt cheap rates to make a killing on later but cause mass unemployment and drive down wage rates comparable with Asian workers rates.

The government have already taken advantage of the crisis to dish out massive million pound contracts to people who have little to no expertise but have contact's. You think they wont take advantage to drive economic policy changes,...eradicate worker rights, minimum wages, health and safety etc...things theyve been trying to get rid of with Brexit. This pandemic is a gift for them.May not have been their original intention but they sure as hell will play it to their own benefit now they have the chance.

Anyone have any science on the vaccine.I dont mean the government plot to insert nanobots in our blood to track us I mean serious chemical input, methodology etc. insert nanobots no less sorry cricket and i must say you are entitled to own opinion but surly you cant be serious No .I said I dont want to know about nano bots etc.As yes they are crap theories.I just want to know about the real vaccine. My gp said we would all be given it by next March.I dont believe any theories. It probably was a lab escape/release.Whatever it was its here and killing primarily weak older persons and other dependants on the states. Its too out of control to say it was being steered by any government. It has never been meaningfully controlled here and its decimating business everywhere.Pubs selling alcohol will just find another way to drop it in drinks.Who will check? As for Bris trashing xmas, skip Boris.A coffin in the family is enough warning and very real. There have been many infections and several deaths near us,but locals are still hoax whining on.Who needs a xmas ho ho party then get infcted and maybe die?Its because our population never took it seriously without being told to,like silly kids.Take care stay safe folks.Bide your time till it blows over.Anyone know the chemistry of the vaccine?

I live in an area that has one of the lowest infection rates in the whole country, why should I be forced to have a vaccine when I havent had as much as a sniffle all year?

A few months back my surgery said despite me being over 60 with several underlying health issues i didnt qualify for a flu jab...not that i ever have one,I used to refuse them at work in NHS...now suddenly im getting bombarded with texts demanding i take up offer of flu jab and bowel cancer screening...No doubt this is more likely a practice funding thing than any real concern for my health. As for covid vaccines... Im not averse to having one if i thought it might do any good but id like to see 10 to 20 million folks vaccinated with no adverse reactions or unknown health implications to what will in effect amount to a vaccine with minimal safety testing before i join any queue. If i die of Covid,so be it,death has always been an occupational hazard for me,im not about to start worrying about it now, i certainly dont want any extra health issues to contend with.
