as been said about information to much false stuff which do we listen to i think they should sort that out, i know one death is to many but there are far fewer now so people are thinking its past but im sure we are going to have a second wave I've kind of come to the conclusion that I can't do anything more about it so I'm not thinking about it too much now. We're going out very little, we're still not mingling with people we know, lots of hand washing and masks when we are in town, trying to keep the fruit, veg and vitamin supplements up just for general immune system health, trying to walk, keep active, keep the stress levels down and so on - just general health related stuff. I've started stocking up in the event of another lockdown and I've been a lot more careful about keeping extras of things like paracetamol and my son's epilepsy meds. Other than that I don't know that we can do anymore? I am still finding it hard not to see the people I care about and hug the bejesus out of them but that's just going to have to wait. I think even the cat views me as being needy and desperate now lol. I am going to try and be a bit high tech and do a 'Zoom' get together with some friends. I hate being on a screen and find the idea of it really cringeworthy but I think I need to give it a try, especially now with winter coming. I've been using my SAD lamp each day already. I really like autumn, it's my favourite season but the darkness of winter troubles me and I feel a bit anxious about getting through that with all this going on as well but what else can we do now? I think I've got to the point now of just trying to pretend it's not happening just to try to stop myself worrying about it as I don't feel there's much else I can really do.

I think you have the right approach GIST , there is not a lot we can do but keep our selves safe and be prepared for another lock up , as we have a better idea of what it will be like . The zoom thing is very good it seems . I enjoying the quietness , but Ma has a weekly zoom cocktail party with her chums all over the world , and I have even been known to join in a pub quiz night thing with my daughters and family on it ! We live in a different world now but we can still have fun and be happy ,we all just got to adapt.

There are aspects of the lockdown that I have been really enjoying. Is it wrong to say that?

There are aspects of the lockdown that I have been really enjoying. Is it wrong to say that? I've enjoyed almost all aspects of the lockdown, Bernie, the best bit being, as Harry said, avoiding the buggers that you don't like The quiet and absence of traffic noise was heaven - just yesterday I went out to feed the birds about 6.30 and it's so still, but you can hear the constant hum of cars on the link road even that early on a Sunday and I really liked not being able to hear that. I've enjoyed having time to rest and think, and concentrate on what I'm doing instead of keeping one eye on the time because we've got to go out or got to catch the bus home or whatever. I've definitely caught up on sleep and I'm not needing constant coffee to keep myself going which is good, and we've saved a quite staggering amount of money, considering I don't consider us to be big or frivolous spenders anyway. What I don't like is the chance of catching something horrible if we do go into town or out to buy veggies and not seeing the people that I do love - those have been the only two things personally that I've found difficult. I don't like thinking of all the people who have really struggled, either because of health, isolation, losing their income suddenly and so on. But on the whole I'll be looking for ways to keep living a quieter and easier life from here on in, I'd just like it to include being able to visit my friends and snuggling up with my sister's kids to read a story

It's funny but I'd got into habits of spending time with some people and now that we haven't had to I've realised it's much nicer not seeing them Odd how easy it is just to fall into doing things without thinking about it - I need to practise being more awake! Lol

We live in a different world now but we can still have fun and be happy ,we all just got to adapt. Yes it's the adapting that takes me a while, I'm such a technophobe that when people started talking about Zoom I thought it was an ice lolly Ha ha, I will try and give it a go, my friend's daughter messaged me, my friend is very down at the moment due to her horrible neighbours making their lives a misery so her daughter is trying to organise an online get together for her with all her friends to cheer her up a bit, which I thought was a very nice idea so I must make the effort and try to join in. No idea how you do it but no doubt there is a YouTube video Lol. Yep, I think it's here to stay, for a long time I've been waiting for it to go but I'm getting my head around it not going and other than stocking up on tins and loo roll I don't think we can do much more. At least I've eaten enough biscuits to insulate myself from the cold over the winter
