Sat in a cafe an hour ago and overheard two numpties my age discussing the virus. Took them a couple of minutes to remember what it was called and one says to the other, "It's not new, we had that when I was a kid" and they went on to talk rumour and bollux in the same vein for the next 30 minutes and had seen the broadcast this morning.

It wont spread if people are sensible and aware and authorities take appropriate action. The reason flu, measles chicken pox and other epidemics spread is because people ignore symptoms or turn up at work or send kids to school and use public transport and supermarkets when theyre ill and spread it round workplaces and schools and shops and thus from family to family. Most people have no choice about using public transport or going to work. Once people stop going to work shit happens, shops close, ATMs run out, petrol pumps run dry. That's what the Govt is worried about, they don't care if people get sick

51 cases in the UK now. Still no deaths, which is a good thing.

That's a good plan danann , never thought of that. I have huge faith in my own immune system though. I am never ill with colds and flue, or even food poisoning. For this reason, I am not too worried. Even if I got the virus, I am pretty sure it will be no worse than flu. I'm not going to die! you appear to have aqquired the "Skip Divers Immunity" to all known bugs VW.

You could be right there cricket, if your immune system comes into contact with bacteria, it stays active and can cope with whatever you come in contact with

That's what the Govt is worried about, they don't care if people get sick Not everyone gets sick at places of work simultaneously unless sick people take it there and spread it around, then instead of losing one person the employer loses dozens over a short period of time, crippling operations. Most people go to work sick because theyre scared they wont get paid or will get disciplined for work absence. They send kids to school sick because they cant afford time off to look after them or dont want to be fined for keeping kids out of school. The system is as fucked uo as people are. And no the governments of the world dont give a shit, theyre just scared about the economic hit. The markets plummeted recently because of the coronavirus and government and central banks are moving heaven and earth setting up stimulation measures to keep economies afloat....and bond and shareholders happy. We are all just collateral damage.

You could be right there cricket, if your immune system comes into contact with bacteria, it stays active and can cope with whatever you come in contact with Except that virus and bacteria are totally different things and operate in totally different ways so exposure to bacteria doesnt make you better able to resist virus nor exposure to virus make you more immune to bacteria. In fact they can make you more vulnerable and your system overstressed constantly fighting them and become loaded with toxins which is bad allround. You also need to be exposed to each virus for your body to learn how to fight it,thats what vaccines do. You cant learn to be immune to bacteria.

I dont like being fair to governments but this one has isolated risk cases in detainment centres or forced self isolation and closed doctors surgeries where affected cases have cropped up and vigourously traced lines of contact. Its not entirely the government or health authorities responsibility to control disease outbreaks. Most of the responsibility lies with individuals taking appropriate measures to protect themselves and families. They dont bother though, thats why 60,000+ people globally die of common flu....because "its only the flu". If you go out in countryside inhabited by Bears or Moose you take a gun with you in case one attacks you. But somehow its always someone elses responsibility to protect us from everything. I Never have taken A GUN out with me NomadCris and Never will hehehehe Because Nope No Bear Of Moose Or Wolf Or Cougar Or Mountain Lion Etc Etc Will Attack Me hehehehe My Only Weapon Is Meez And that’s Enough To Scare Any Animal Or Being Off And Away hehehehe:))
