Hi all, wee intro post. I went by the same name on UKH, but I'm not on there anymore (I recognise one or two of your names from there). I've been using facebook and twitter more these days, but I'm finding them pretty shallow tbh. I miss the discussions and variety of opinions you get on a forum, where people don't block and unfriend everyone who doesn't agree with them.
So, I work in conservation and live in the far north of Scotland. In my spare time I walk the beaches and hills, watch birds, take bad photographs with a camera I'm still trying to figure out, and knit the occasional jumper. I used to love gardening, but my peaty, flood-prone, salt-blasted and sheep-munched little garden doesn't really permit it here, apart from the pots of herbs I have on the decking. Maybe I'll get lucky and acquire my own croft!
