couple of weeks ago got call on landline from BT telling me i,m going to cut you off [i,m with Virgin] anyway gives you a number to phone it,s a scam so hung up just now call from Amazon about my account [not got an account ] telling me to press one so hung up. phoned Amazon and there is a message telling you about scam phone calls it,s to get your detail,s or connect you to a stupid amount of money a minuet call if anybody has any more to avoid i would be happy to hear about them all the bestist

There's so many of them about these days. Sometimes it makes those Nigerian scams look like a child's game.
I remember being sucked in many years ago, in the early days of PayPal, getting an email saying my account was being suspended. I followed the link, 'logged in', left the site then 10 seconds later realised it was a scam. I went to the real PayPal and changed my password, no harm done.

I got one a few weeks ago from a London number saying, a warrant will be issued for my arrest, press 1 to avoid this. It was supposed to be the tax office and I was being charged with tax fraud, scammers.

My 86 year old mother got a few phone calls from a number but just as she answered it they hung up. Giving her the impression she just missed it.
So she would press recall and say "did you just phone me?".
The people on the other end were soooooo nice and just got her chatting very skillfully.
Of course it was premium number and each time she clocked up about a £16 bill.
Not a fortune but money she could ill afford to be ripped off

I just got a fake email from 'Netflix'. It was asking me to complete my sign up.
Watch out for that one...

I joined a clotshot /anti digital passport telegram channel acouple of days ago.
2.30 this morning I have a message from a supposed girl, ok picture , asking if I have had the vaccine?
I replied but was suspicious, she (?) hasn't seemed to want to chat about the issues on the channel.
Apparently this girl lives in Scotland UK (lol) and works in a bank as an accountant and asked me if I invest?
She seems keen to help me invest my money in bitmicrotrade even to the point of offering to loan me 50$ dollars to get me up and started, no doubt 50$ Scottish dollars, lol.
Blocked and conversation deleted , but they were very persistent and really tried to push it.
