We poisoned rats and mice with a mixture of ground up peanuts, bicarb, toothpaste, and some flour. Mix it up and mould it in an ice cube mould. It kills rats and mice but is totally harmless to other animals and raptors Look it up. I will.I made up a garlic and onion solution and sprayed the underside of the caravan,as we heard them close one night.seems to have deterred them, but still seen in our bit occasionally, won't rid them completely I know deepgreenpermaculture.comPut rats into their search engine

Yes because rats and mice can't burp or fart bicarb or baking soda reacts with the acid in their stomach and blows them up like a balloon All you have to do is trick them into eating it by mixing it with something they like

OK So this is a double rant
First rant is sat navs. The quickest easiest and most fuel efficient way to get from A to B is an A road at 40mph or a B road at 30mph. It is not a sucession of pot holed windy farm tracks with passing points if you are lucky Simply because the computer in its infallible logic has worked out its ten yards shorter than sticking to the main road
Second Rant, lorries use a different sat nav to ordinary car drivers. It is because lorries can't negotiate the little lanes mentioned in my first rant. So why the heck don't the senile geriatrics who buy ande driveth these huge motor homes buy a proper large vehicle sat nav so they dont get stuck down the lanes. They are an absolute nightmare down here in Cornwall They can't drive them, they can't reverse them and they empty their toilets in the bushes

Yeah I had a lorry satnav for my bus, even though the bus wasn't huge. It was just peace of mind, hoping it wouldn't take me anywhere too ridiculous.

Thing is it's not even difficult or expensive now to get a satnav for driving a truck or motorhome or towing a high caravan. You used to have to buy specialist satnavs, I did when I was truck driving. Now you can download satnav apps for the purpose off of Googleplay store or Apple appstore for free to use on your phone and use Google maps or openmaps. Some charge for offline maps and some give realtime traffic updates also. There's a bunch of them, just search the stores for 'truck and caravan satnav'. I use one by Sygic and Truckmeister but there are plenty others. Much better than getting stuck at a low bridge or narrow road and got to retrace your steps and find another route.

We ended up in a field surrounded by cows in the middle of the night thanks to the bollocking sat nav once, never again. And when we lived in the West Country, May to October was a nightmare because of all the motor homes and cars towing caravans, boats, jet skis and goodness knows what else getting stuck on little lanes. I hear the Isle of Skye is similar now during tourist season. Fortunately I go everywhere by broomstick so I am unaffected
