I am trying very hard to cut down on caffeine and sugar and it's become apparent that those are the two things that stop me from punching people in the face very regularly I think I might have to chose between sugar or prison lol

Just popped in to say hello, but the place seems full of tumbleweeds. Anybody home?

Hi Grace, are you still hanging out with circus folk, and looking after animals? I am going to be old enough to finally get a pension in a week. My family worry about my health, but no way am I departing this planet without at least a bus pass. Spite is an excellent reason to stay alive ๐

I would live to have a glass of wine, but don't think my stomach would tolerate it. I'll make do with hot chocolate instead. โ

There was an older lady where we used to live, she used to spend all day on the bus, was there at 9.30 each morning and would see how far she could get and back in a day. Said there was no point sitting at home all day, she met nice people, brought a packed lunch and picked herself up something nice for tea on the way home. I often wonder about her, I hope she's still zooming about somewhere Hope all is well with you xx

I don't usually use buses because they are so infrequent - I can get out of the village but not back again the same day, not incredibly useful.

With it feeling quite mild, and the other half being out all day, I got to doing the washing, hoovering around, cleaned both cookers (halogen & gas), and even started to tidy up a bit... Not seriously, though...

I had a mad 10 mins cleaning the other day,uj said "don't move so fast, rapidly.it's not good for you"how do I do it slowly then!?!?...finally fixed the hen house roof.looks better this morning than I thought it did.so happy with that.2 of the ex battery hens( white ones) have some how moved into the fancy breeds pen over night,so when it's stopped raining,or I can be bothered,I'll go catch them, clip wings, and return them to their gang.I had started that kennel cleaning job a couple of weeks ago,but due to whatever is going on with my old bones,it's taking 2-3 days to get over it!!so I'll just bumble around here like an oldie for now๐

A couple of years back I bought a duduk and promptly broke my arm really badly. It took many months before I could even try to learn to play it, then I developed extensive pulmonary embolisms. ๐
I've never fully recovered from this, and playing reeded wind instruments seems impossible most days but I've never stopped from loving the haunting music of the duduk and every so often just blow the reed to see if I can.
Back end of last year I bought a tin whistle for research, and surprised myself by getting into it; it doesn't take a lot of breath and I've been picking it up often enough. I figured it would improve my breathing and so it has; I did not realise how much until today I picked up my duduk and found I could sort of play it. I have accepted that I will never be any good, it will probably always be unbearable for other folk to listen to, but I even had some of the ancient Armenian sound to it. This makes me very happy, and if reincarnation is a thing, I would like the opportunity to start learning duduk as a child in my next life. ๐
