Went to see family yesterday.gifts all distributed.got a lovely hamper off eldest daughter.miss them so much this time of year.suppose to be going to the bosses tomorrow,but ujs in agony with his hip,been in bed all day as it's more comfy.so who knows where we 'll be......hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow,however you spend it...think I'll off and hibernate until april🙁 Hope UJs feeling better today Grace, glad you got to see the lovelies  Merry Today, whatever you end up doing xx |

My daughter knows me too well,travel mug😊 aaaaargghhh 😁 had a lot of those when I had 400 chickens and sold eggs, everything I got given was chicken theme..didnt know what to do with them until I decided to give them away with eggs at holiday times. Ive only one chicken mug now ....somewhere 🤔 Ive no intention of finding it 😁 |

I've mentioned before that I'm autistic and Christmas is a problem for me every year. I'm more than happy for everyone else to have festive fun, and I even enjoy it vicariously online. However, I get horribly anxious if I have to interact with other folk at Christmas, in real life.
I cracked it this year; all of the people who usually try and get me to join in because it will be fun, well I told them I was going to my daughter's family. She went along with this, knowing that masking does not make for a happy day for me, so I've had a lovely day with my dogs and birds. I haven't seen a single human.
Nobody has bothered me because they thought I was busy elsewhere, I've eaten cauliflower cheese, had custard and some chocolate which made me very happy. Because the fire has been going all day I have masses of hot water and am about to run a bath, I might even have a dram of whisky. 🥃
It's been the best Christmas I've spent since I was a child. 😁
Merry Christmas folks, and I sincerely mean it. ❤️

Im not autistic -interdimensional maybe, I dont belong here ... I just dont like being coerced into company with people, never have, ive preferred my own company and doing what I want to do not whats expected of me.
With family youre always expected to socialize with family even if you hate them....even more so Italian family. No one incurs the wrath of mamma or nonna for not being part of family occasion ..ignore at peril.
Ive done more than my share of participating in hateful family gatherings to keep the peace but I dont have to do this no more...not even excuse or subterfuge involved to have Christmas /Yule I want.
I ignore my friends asserting their diagnosis of me that im antisocial -im not, im unsociable, theres a difference- and I say NO a lot these days.I have my simple Christmas Yule days to myself and make most of the peace and quiet and no one about working.
I like that you getting Christmas YOU want this year Maggie... Enjoy 🥃

Happy to hear you had the day you wanted parrot.I struggle with xmas,being away from family.today we went outside our comfort zone and had xmas in someone else's family,1st time everfor me.it was just so relaxed,welcoming,and not a touch of fake celebration,bragging,or one upmanship.just people spending time with others because they wanted to..feeling blessed to be here💜

We lost friends over the years because I had to say no to doing things that my son couldn't cope with. I know people say they weren't real friends anyway but it still hurt; they were people I cared about and I wanted them in our lives. I'm glad you've had a good time, a dram of whisky and a hot bath sounds like a good plan |

Well I bought the birds some posh RSPB approved bird food as it's Christmas - and they haven't touched it Will have to put the cheap stuff out again tomorrow |
