Hmm ! starter motor broke now . Wont dissesngage , but vendor has com and removed it and is sorting hopefully .Giving me a chance to get on with other stuff as tractor is bit too much of a fun distraction for the short days if I am faffing with it .

No solonoid VW , , a gurt big handle you have to push down !
There is a switch inside the 'engaging mechanism' but that works fine . I can get a new starter for £143 , but I am a bit low on finances at the moment , and I need 2 rear tyres .
One step away from a starting handle , which to be honest might be a better bet .

Hecktic !!!Man came to fix hilux at 8am,but I thought it was dogs wanting to go to bog and when came back at dinner time he accidently let a dog escape ,very stressful 2o minutes  . -7C made steering freeze up on tractor , even though it started ok . After 1hr on tick over steering box thawed !!! So had some nice muck heap loading and dumping action, long walk in frozen woods and girfed venison byriani for tea . |

Today a lot of the white stuff has been diluted with the heavy rain over night.so now the site is swimming again!my hens moved again to higher ground.was talk of more pump hose being bought,but no idea where they 're going to pump it!as I keep telling them...dredge the bloody ditches!!!

Strangely clearing ditches works very well. Cleared all the ditches here last year and the river that was full of dumped rubble old sleepers and dead fallen trees and the land doesnt flood anymore...curious that🤔 Hope you get your flooding sorted, its tiresome.

They 're not really farmers here cris🙄 I know I'm not,but pretty obvious really!they dug out a section to put a pipe in that comes from underground into the ditch.but a 10 ft sections not going to hold the amount running off the fields.we 've receeded a little from this morning.so it's not up to the steps now.a canoe would still be handy to feed the animals,but we manage😏
