Been sorting stuff out, the estate is going to be sold, so if new owners don’t want me, it’ll be time to go, it being a tied cottage and all that Sorry to hear that Pete, I hope it all gets sorted out and there aren't any big upheavals for you to deal with.

Fit a little trailer with seat.A lot of big old mowers had trailed seats. Otherwise id just find an old cheap 60's or 70's tractor and a drum mower.Thats what i had. Infact you can get cheap Chinese tractors or alpine smallholding tractors a lot cheaper than the average poncey sit on lawn mower.
Or pay a local farmer to mow it twice a year.

I will never forget when I got my Sthil Brushcutter how powerful it felt compared with my old one , about 5 seconds later it had flicked a stone through the conservatory window . I wish you many happy hours use with zero dramas . (They go through chicken wire like butter too !)

Well Charlie the rescue hog is looking healthy and obviously doesn't like rain. He was sitting behind cardboard in our back porch when I went out last night. Only other times the hedgehog House looks like it's been disturbed at the entrance is during heavy rain. 🙂

I found myself in possession of a new instrument, a Breton Bombarde which is a type of shawm. Shawn's are mediaeval woodwind instruments which sound more like brass.
The bombarde is relatively small, looks off and on like a deformed recorder, but has the loudest, most piercing sound. It is also hard to play, taking more breath than any of the other wind instruments I've owned/played. This is an advantage as I'm always trying to build up my lung capacity (I have a large, pulmonary embolism).
Between shawm and dudük, my lungs get a good workout. 😁
