Good afternoon all, sipping an iced mocha and having a Ruffles BBQ crisp. Lunching on leftovers with orange juice. Binging “Meteor Garden 2018” till dinner and bedtime tonight.

Good night all, had a shower and a hair wash. Been pampering myself a bit too. Doing aroma therapy and music therapy till dining on an oven-baked pizza with lemon iced tea and heading to bed tonight.

Today, I had a call for help from our lovely neighbor , we rushed her beautiful little dog to the vets after he suffering fits for most of the night, very very sad ending, as he had to be put to sleep. Lots of tears from all involved 😭
A very sad day ☹️

Been chainsawing a fallen beech tree for the last couple of days, that’s after I managed to get it down from where it was hung up in another tree, bloody hard work. Then logging up and transporting and stacking in wood store. Nice to have had a fire on site while working, Kelly kettle out for tea and coffee , sat by the fire listening to the stream, the popping and cracking of the fire, and birds singing and picking through the disturbed ground, blooming magic. 😁 The man who invented the Kelly Kettle deserves to have a statue in his honour somewhere I'm off to Redditch to visit my son tomorrow, leaving early |

  theres a couple more pictures, I got a stainless steel one. they will boil pretty quick if your tinder is dry, you can also get pots pans and various stuff to turn it into a hobo stove. its a useful item, I use mine a fair bit. |

can somebody put a picture up of a kelly kettle please Also called a Ghillie Kettle, they are absolutely worth their weight in gold. And you can get a hob attachment to fit on the top of the chimney for a frying pan/ pot. Ideal for boiling stream water for drinking in places like Brecon with out breaking the bank on gas. In winter you can just keep topping it up with twigs and have constant hot water, for heating or food. So efficient, a couple of pine cones gives you a pint of boiling water. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4icz5wuIkjkIn a year it will pay for itself five times over in saved gas. On a cold winter's night it means as many hot water bottles as you are able to fill. They make no smoke so you can use them anywhere |
