No mechanic to replace knackered bearing, no muscle man. One knackered Maggie who carried a houseful of junk to pile in the front room ready for muscleman with van, who didn't turn up. Its now difficult to use front door but the junk can stay where it is. π’

Hope you get your bus sorted.

High five for even identifying "stuff" to get shut off !!! step in the right direction dude

Oh I'll get there Jen. Now I have decided there will be no stopping me. I discovered yesterday how to say "No!" to folk who use my house as storage for their own unwanted junk, turning away a king-size mattress and a fruit press. It is how much of the rubbish has accumulated in the first place. If I sort out insurance on the car I can take loads of stuff to the tip, even if I have to make loads of journeys I no longer care. π

work is the curse of the drinking classes and drink (n other myriads of 'addictions' and displacement activities) is the curse of the terminally disgusted with the self one was straightjacketed into (which paradoxically, can lead to workaholia) ... never too late to make a bit of progress in a direction of just being - but it's fecking hard work when you've left it a bit blasted late.
Ah well, ain't over 'til the fat lady sings n all that BS - soz for being too serious hippies ...

Mindst you, I am finally beginning to recognise that potential "projects" can be endlessly paralysing ... just need 1 small step in a viable and appropriate direction, beginning, middle and end - and all the rest, probably somebody elses crap I picked up along the way.
Good on yer gal - power to your elbow, n knees, n back n all x

The insulation folk turned up and I have had to carry tons of stuff from one room to another and back again to give them access to the walls they are working on. They have a labourer who is helping me, but its an enormous amount of work. If I had known they would not have provided the help they promised, I would have said thanks but no thanks, free insulation notwithstanding. I know my limits as to what I can do safely, and this episode is going to leave me crippled and housebound for a week, whinge moan. Oh well, I'm telling myself they'll be gone in a few days. π

I am waiting for the council visit, they are bringing a VIPP guest, a local MP who handles environmental matters. Obviously, I am in a tea dress and pearls. Not.
