Never underestimate the poundshop! My current favourite buy are the new solar lights from poundland. The first is a bit of a cheat at £5, a solar floodlight, with three settings, which are off, auto (on dusk to dawn) and PIR. The PIR puts the ten LEDs on for 30 seconds. The dusk to dawn setting keeps the light on, but it's slightly dimmer. There's three rechargeable batteries in the base. The second is another Poundland buy at £2, a small string of eight LEDs powered by a rechargeable AA battery. They are bright enough to use as a background light inside the van. They dim after about six hours, enough to leave them on without keeping you awake. I like both if them. What's your favourite poundshop or cheapo buy?

There's a few things I buy from Poundland. Their 2mt white android charging cable. Gas lighter. Work gloves, when they've got them. They are so popular that the whole batch may disappear in hours - so if you see them buy a few pairs. Black spray paint and glue. Other odds'sods too.

I bought one too a year ago Firetree, but won't do it again. I lot of the cheap ones are useless and won't charge modern phones. I got an (apparently) good one from ebay for £3 that is so far working really well

The "Siskin" ones that morrisons petrol stations sell are good. There the 2amp fast charger ones with a twin USB ports, think there about £4 each
