I wear clothes till they aren't fit to be rags, once there too scabby to wear for dressed(I use the term very loosely) they get worn to work. At that point they get worn till there no longer fit to wear. This idea of wear once and throw away, what the fuck is wrong with ppl

The Primark effect! The need to grow all that cotton in India and Egypt diverts agricultural resources away from food production. Also water, the big farming companies divert water supplies to irrigate their crops of cotton and further down the valley the village wells run dry and people are forced to abandon their homes and farms

Just another example of the needs(or wants!) of the few outweighing the needs of the many...😞

If they made clothes properly they would last a lot longer . That seems the case with nearly everything now. Manufactures know made to last is not profitable and spend a lot of money on research into what the minimumn time they can make things last , while sraping through to the end of the guarentee ! I dont own many cloths ,and tend to wear the same thing till it falls apart . I have a posh wedding to attend later in the year.Might have to sew a few patches on ! I hate spending money on clothes .

Not quite Bungo, it's a vicious circle, make things cheap they are,kt made well. Don't make things well cuts cost, has the thing be unwearable and the buyer buys something else. Do you want me to look out for a suit for you? PM me your size

I only wear jogging pants, all bought from Primark some only a quid a pair! Dunno about well made but I've been wearing some of em since before I got divorced! Quid's worth of strides worn regularly for 12years, can't say I'm not environmentally friendly....
