Today I was out a wombling and also a bit of freegan thrown in. In one supermarket I saw £3.05 in the reject hopper of the coinstar counting machine.I then hit the poundshop bin and went on to get another 12 bottles of cola, this time Diet Coke brand. Obviously I needed a trolley, and found one with a pound still in it.
I then went on a bit, sometimes I have to buy food so nipped into Lidle, where I picked up peppers, noodles and mushrooms. When I attempted to pay for it, the till stopped registering my money at 3p, but I had put in 9p. I called over the attendant and explained. She pressed some buttons, and went the next step up. The supervisor opened the till, found 3p and gave it back to me. Then she looked at the screen, and said Oh it's done, you paid.
Errrr OK! So I have! She then apologised and said I couldn't have a receipt.
That's fine....
I then went on to hit a favourite charity shop and got a lovely throw and a fleece.
Not too bad so far
