Luckily I only watch the internet these days , a safe haven from any thing to worry about. There was a lot of adverts on the telly about aids, just after my first wife divorced me , I remember saying to my mum , bloody typical now I'm back on the market. Its a rum do , but I think its best not to publize these thought of things because it makes people worry .

I don't think there's public information films any more, but they might be making a comeback with today's litigious society! I can't tell you for sure though, we don't have a TV!

I think that the reports every hour or so whilst there is a flu epidemic in some parts of the country makes good sense.
Maybe they should put them on the tv on friday and saturday evenings saying keep away from town centres and off the roads this evening as there is a high risk of some pissed up tosser spoiling your day :-)

I will always stick to the old saying of my grandad
I will eat what I like T will drink what I like I will smoke what I like So far ,so good !
And he lived to the ripe old age of 48
And he always said when courting, up the bum , no harm done , but he had about 15 siblings and I think great grandma was a bit fed up remembering birthdays.

This is a public health warning - be careful when considering what advice to take in whilst using hippy forums !!!!!

Back to the OP. I haven't seen anything on TV recently about washing your hands, only about flu jabs. The dirtiest cause of cross infection is a supermarket trolley hand rail. All those people who sneeze on their hands or don't wash after going to the toilet yet you never hear it said.

No you do not hear it mentioned as many other situations where people touch other commonly used items.
I popped into mac get fatolds the other day to get a cup of coffee and to use their wifi and the girl at the counter would not serve me a coffee and insisited that I use the ordering machine to place my order as that was company policy and she was busy. I told her that I had a contagious disease and I would be happy to share it with the other customers and the staff who touched the machine if she liked !! My coffee was ready quite quickly though she was a little concerned when I handed her the coins :-)
Do not worry though as I have no contagious disease that I know off and if I am paying for something I want the correct service and not go and touch a touch screen ordering device that many other people will of touched with germs on their hands.

Wait. You pay for coffee at Maccy D? Don't they have the collector cards for the stickers?

I do the same in supermarkets & petrol stations, refuse to "self serve" myself. They never have enough staff on the tills as it is, if we all served ourselves they would close all the checkouts & then we'd be stuffed. They should give people a small discount to serve themselves, but they don't so I don't use em!

I never do the self service things in supermarkets , , It takes me longer than queueing up,stuff wont scan , then it counts it twice ! and its taking jobs . Your right about a discount , the price of service is in the cost of the food . I fucking hate supermarkets cept for lidl , they seduced me with there middle , bakery and cheery staff !
