If the landings were real the film and the photos were definitely faked. A lot showed there were multiple light sources (ie studio lighting) when subjected to modern computer enhancement I have it on good authority they faked the film because Buzz broke the camera when he was fitting the wide angle lens on the way, and thats why they bought moon rock back as proof they had been there.

Real, I saw the footprints when I was there. oh bugger and I thought that I always hid my tracks well, damn if my lair has been discovered this is most upsetting. Do you know how hard it is to find a place to get away from polution in all its forms and find a bit of 'tranquility',. Damn you Boaty and sting now that you have let people know there is life there they will all want to go. For goodness sake, keep away from my favoutite little bar on mars,as if thats discovered the name mars bar will be in the public conciousness and that will be the end of that secret too !!!!

It used to be a tradition when visiting somewhere nice to bring back something like
Their rock was a Chinese knockoff fake as it didn't have the word 'moonrock' all the way through!!!

My younger brother can argue convincingly that the moon is unvisited and the earth is flat, plus a few other anti reality arguments.
The thing is, he knows that what he is arguing is not true, it just amuses him to make people with fewer debating skills either frustrated enough to get angry at his arguments, or better still to convince them they were wrong in believing otherwise.
There are lots of people who do the same thing and it spreads like wildfire until huge amounts of people actually believe this rubbish.
I've watched journalists do the same for decades - print something to see how fast it will spread.
How many people here believe that conkers have been banned, for instance, due to health and safety concerns, or that blackboards could not be used because black folk complained? These "facts" were made up and printed in newspapers and became real things when they kept on spreading.
Once people spread rumours by word of mouth, that was bad enough, then written media was used to do the same thing and being widely read, and later watched, untrue things were easier to get out to the public. Now the internet spreads things so fast and so widely, that it is impossible to ever find the original source and disprove it.
Open a large sack of feathers, shake all the feathers out from the top of a tower on a windy day and then try and collect all the feathers a week later.
That is how false stuff is spread, and why people believe things such as the moon landing being made up, or the earth being flat.

We should make something up that could be believable and see if we can convince alot of people that it's true!!!
This could be a new thread and it could be fun!

Well if twelve percent of all americans believe that joan of arc was noah's wife and seven percent of all americans think that chocolate milk comes from brown cows,I think someone has beat us to it
