I just don't get it . The Kingshouse never seemed busy when ever I went there ,I think Jimmy Saville was there biggest customer. I always used to camp over the bridge, was one of the most midge infested places I have ever been . It will be the Clachaig getting the treatment next.

Built for the rich tourist not the people. Fkn shower of money grabbing shites will always take advantage to profiteer when there is nobody to stand up to them. If you want to see worse, just go to John o Gross. It was a shithole anyway with the tourist trappings but now they've build loads of wooden cabins which resemble pigstyes.
The only saving grace is that they've saved the hotel which was rundown for years. The Scandi build on is marmite, I'll accept it as the hotels future is now safe.
The best thing about that place is the road out, the postoffice (top right) and the nearby stacks/lighthouse where there's a good parkup. Just across from the postoffice is a WW1 road-roller which I've had my eye on for some 20yrs but getting 10t of cast iron 700 miles south is just nigh on impossible for my wallet and I'm too old now for such a project.

Wow ,bit different to when I was last there over 30 years ago ! TBH, I think The Kingshouse is worse , as it visually spoils a massive section of Glencoe . The Cairngorm Funicular was a royal fuck up . I think Scotlands days of being a playground for the rich are gone .
I think rewilding Scotland would be a better idea than keep trying to developing it. Re build Hadrians wall , a la Trump style , and release loads of bears, wolves etc to get the deer in check and all the 68 people that live in the whole of Scotland could have the clearances done on them , as they are used to that sort of thing .

Scotland has almost 5 million people and contributes 60 billion pounds to the UK economy and exports more to the world than England does.
I agree we should rebuild Hadrians wall but rewild England and kick out all Tories and the dirty nuclear shit out of Scotland also

I have it on pretty good authority there are circa 68 people , but I will keep an open mind till Pyke can verify .

John o Scrotes was always horrible,same as Lands End..bog all there worth looking at or stopping for.You go expecting drama and you find a grotty hotel complex and get fleeced.
Both bits should be scuttled along with Trumpets golf course.

Maybe all the Scot's are at Everest base camp , its a right bloody circus there . It has always been said , if you climb in the winter in Scotland , then you can climb anywhere in the world !
