Luckily I was put of salmon by grandmas sunday afternoon tea's in the 'room' featuring boney tinned salmon and jelly ye olde oake ham . served with bread buttered in the way that has been prepared by recent blindness . A shovel full of burning coal would be imported from the kitchen, donked in the 'rooms' fire place , and all hell would be let loose as the furniture started to dehumidify. Tinned red salmon was the height of social housing cusine where i growed up...it was actually nice too..speshiality JW salmon sandwiches with real crusty bread and butter ..you slummed it on Russian Sockeye with loads of grey slimey skin...dont know what happened to it all. Tinned red coloured vomit now.

If they make a big loss like that does that mean the shares are worth less? I have grumbled for a long time now about how expensive stamps are now, and parcel costs which are a pain in the bum now it's done on size of package as well as weight. I used to post a lot more stuff than I do now; I'd quite often just send friends' kids or grandkids some sweets or a little pressie if they'd done well at school or something, and cards just to say hello, but it's so expensive now I had to stop doing it. More often now if I buy someone a present online I usually get it sent straight to them and that means people using couriers more. My friend's husband works for Royal Mail and they treat their staff like shit; he's only stayed put because he's not got long until he retires now but most of the other fellas that worked there left and a lot of them are now delivering parcels for courier companies ironically enough. It's amazing watching how they buy these organisations that are running just fine and completely bugger them up.

Its mostly because once privatised they cut investment pay and staff to the bone while pocketing the surplus as shareholder 'profits' The service keeps failing so they put up prices to compensate for falling income, lay off more staff and lose more business.
The exact same model the water companies use so now weve got unreliable water supply and self destructing infrastructure, rivers and coasts full of shit and too poisonous for life and too unsafe to swim in while they pocket billions in executive salaries and fake performance share bonuses.
The same has happened with every public service including our military.
Its the Tory /corporate mafia business model.
Nothing unique,its the same model in the US and Russia. Things fall apart, people have to put up with it or get criminalised for demanding the service that they used to have that was stolen from them.
Non of it will stop until someone finds a backbone and balls to prosecute and jail them for the criminals they are.
