went out to womble wood from the side of the road in the middle of a woodland earlier as need a bit more due to the two week extra lockdown,anyhow after a hour or so I had built up a good collection of branches and twigs in the van and headed back to my perk up. On my way back I met the gendermes on the tiny little lane which was brilliant as they was no way they could of stopped me there and the next place for them to turn around was a good mile dwon the road. I knew that look and they were out to pull people to check that we are carrying our attestations and that the paperwork is correct,but they could not stop there as they would of stopped half in a muddy ditch,so I got back without having to answer questions on covid and my recently wombled wood stash !!
I had the paperwork with me filled out so it would not of been a hassle on that front,but seeing the want in their eyes to pull me over and not bei ng able to has kept a smile on my face since :-)

An event that made me smile yesterday that I forgot to mention was at the start of the Argentina - New zealand rugby game the all blacks brought out an all blacks rugby shirt with the name maradona on it and laid it down on the half way line to present it to the puma's before they did the Haka. It really was a lovely gesture that you could see was much appreciated by the Argentinian team. I love seeing respectful shit like that :-)
You could see the spirit of comradeship in the game with players helping each other up and lots of pats on backs etc,it was lovely :-)

I was on a rugby forum this morning enjoying reading and participating in debates regarding the Autumn cup tournament that has just finished and there was a comment that made me laugh out loud that went something like this -
" I have nothing but respect for world rugby and think that it is so decent of them to let partially sighted ref's play at test level "
Some of the referreing decisions or even lack of them over this tournament are certainly debatable and that comment was a very good way of making a point whilst keeping the fun and humour in the banter.

Reminds me of an old Max Boyce ditty "I Am An Entertainer"....🐻 I have been to see many comedians and concerts in my life,but sadly have never been in the right place at the right time to see Max. He is such a ball of fun and positivity and his rugby jibes are superb.
One that always sticks in the mind is when he was saying " we just got beat by western samoa, I wouldn't of minded but it wasn't even all of samoa " :-)
Very funny guy, and not doubt up there as a welsh legend !!

Camera on lappy is to shit to see properly , 2 stags and some deer from bedroom winter . The deer always put a smile on my face except at 3am when the stags love to bark during rutting right under the window .  |

Watching the family of squirrels feeding and playing as I work is always fun...oh, and also getting the entire summers worth of sap from overhanging trees off the solar panel on the roof of my van.

I am not a big swearer but anyone of a calm disposition best turn away now as swear words of happiness are coming your way.
Oh my fucking god,I just had my first fucking shower for a good three years. It was one of those big walk in showers with multiple jets and as it was such a rare treat I thought screw the enviroment and spent probably 15 or 20 minutes in there washing and rewashing and washing my hair and using conditioner and various oils that I dont know what they were for and to sum it up it was fucking awesome and one of the most ecstatic moments that I have had for some time. Fucking yeah baby :-) I am clean :-)
You may notice if you read between the lines that I thought that my shower was certainly enjoyable and on the better side of average :-)
Seriously I feel like I have just done a skydive :-)

And in a humbling sort of way it felt quite cool that I was using (not at the same time I hasten to add) the same shower as what an ex wales rugby manager users :-) I always knew that I would make it to the top one day :-)
