I miss FAGS

Still of the smokes but it seems to be getting harder instead of easier. There's been a few times in the last month or so I've felt I could just go n buy another packet of backy. I haven't as I know it would just put me back to the start again. The fact I've spent £150 on vape sin the last 3 weeks doesn't help.
My original one broke, it was a good few years old and been round a few ppl so it done well.
Got a new one but it wouldn't hold its charge, I acedentally dropped it along the road do can't return it.
Next one broke after a couple of weeks, can't return it as it looks like it's been in my pocket for months. Brick dust damages everything and anodised metal doesn't survive well in my pocket
Forced to buy a new one on Saturday. Hopefully it will survive longer than a few weeks.

I know, it was costing me £60 a week on backy so if I break a vape a week I'm still breaking even.

Hey bud, don't beat yourself up too badly; it's bound to be difficult... at least yer givin' it a go so hats off to ya.

Think I might know why yer struggling so much, even tho' your body's still getting the nicotine. I watched an Open University programme on addiction many moons ago and one thing that was common to all those quitting whatever drug they were on, was the ritual aspect. For a smoker, this would be the act of gettin' out the baccy pouch and papers, removing a paper from the packet, grabbing a quantity of tobacco, rolling to the desired thickness, picking up yer lighter and then havin' a smoke. IIRC, the point that was being made was that at every stage of the ritual, the brain chemical serotonin (or was it dopemine?) is being released into your system and is making you look forward to the "reward"... a rolly in this case. You've already proved you can get by ok with the nicotine in the vape juice so that's what you've got to beat man, the ritual.

Have a google and see if you can find any further info on this and best of luck; I hope to quit soon too and after 39 years, not looking forward to it all!.

Since the middle of August I've been back on the fags, today I went and traded another broken vape in for a new one. The worlds most indestructible one, we will see. I give it a month in my pocket before its broken.
I've went for the 10mg liquid, about half strength so hopefully that will work, like "Renton says with gods help I will conquer this terrible affliction "
