Can be anything from a room in someone's house for a night or two to a traditional B and B type set up to a small studio/bedsit type thing you can rent right through to a big eight bedroom house. We've used them quite a bit in the past, you can often get something on there cheaper than a usual hotel/Premier Inn type thing. I like them because it's handy for us to have a kitchen if we go away as my son has a lot of difficulties with food so eating out all the time doesn't really work for us (plus it's expensive) and I like having the privacy of our 'own' place. It's sort of more homely than a Travel Lodge but not as much of a big deal as booking a self catering holiday, if that makes sense? Kind of comes in between the two. We've stayed in some very nice places without paying a fortune which is always a good thing in my book  |
