As it says, one for our NHS folk from the peep who mops the hospital floor, delivers stuff, the docs, the nurses, carers, the army, scientists, the folks who are still working, prepping food, delivering, shop peeps, the volunteers, dustmen and many many more unsung heros who are doing their bit behind the scenes.
Please just smack a 'like' on here, (no negative comments, please save those for the other threads), just a positive thread for those who are risking infection to try and get us through this shitstorm.

2000hrs was the time to go out on the doorstep and clap to show appreciation for the NHS. Went out and clapped and nothing heard. FFS I was a couple of minutes early. It came on the TV to do it so went out again and clapped. As I did in the darkness loads of clapping came from up and down the road. Couldn't see who was doing it as well but there were lots out clapping, simply felt hit with a load of good vibes.

Same here NomadCris. I was outside at 20.00 and heard nothing. Not a surprise really, the nearest house is half a mile away. Obviously I do support the emergency services.

RIP Healthcare hero's RIP another NHS super peep (maybe they'd be better in the superpeep thread) - Leading heart surgeon at Cardiff hospital dies after contracting coronavirus. Tributes have been paid to one of Wales' leading heart surgeons after he died following a positive test for Covid-19.
The Cardiff and Vale University Health Board said on Monday evening that Jitendra Rathod, a cardiac surgeon, was admitted to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, before being taken to intensive care. RIP NHS Super Peeps.

Sad end for a guy who had already served his time then retired, then came back to the front line to help, only for this to happen. Heartfelt condolences to his family...

We're on an estate so the noise is huge here, loads of people cheering, banging drums and saucepans, someone let off a firework. It's funny hearing five minutes of really loud noise and then it's going back to eerie silence again. But good that it means people are staying inside.

I think we going to need a national remembrance arboretum for all of them when this is over as a permanent recognition to their dedication and bravery.
